A temperature sensor is giving a continuous output following the actual temperature in the system, making it possible to have the process in tight control.
The output signal from the sensor can be:
- Ohm, RTD, NTC/PTC
- Voltage, Thermocouples
- mA/Voltage, transmitters
depending on which sensing technology is needed.
The Danfoss range is featuring three sensing technologies:
- RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector): Pt 100 or Pt 1000, both accurate, stable and covering a broad temperature range. Our RTD’s are based on a thin film element which ensures good durability and fast response time.
- NTC/PTC (Negatvie/Positive Temperature Characteristic): Customized output signal and price competitive elements mostly used in OEM business.
- Thermocouples: Suited for very high temperatures and mechanically very stable.
