Safety – the key priority
In late 2007, Kyungwon Machinery launched a reciprocating air compressor with a dual pressure control system (DPCS). The DPCS air compressor was designed to overcome problems associated with overpressure – an issue that can cause serious injury to air compressor operators if the tank explodes.
With the DPCS system, two pressure switches control the pressure in the tank. The first switch is for general operations and if this malfunctions, the second pressure switch goes into action.
Kyungwon Machinery had been dealing with Danfoss for many years, so when quality pressure switches were needed for the DPCS system, Danfoss was the obvious choice.
Whereas most pressure switches have fixed differential pressure, the Danfoss CS pressure switch features an adjustable differential, so the switch can be adjusted to suit a variety of working conditions. And the CS switch is fitted with a manual switch to lock the contact system in the open position independent of the pressure in the tank for added safety.
With Danfoss CS pressure switches, Kyungwon Machinery’s air compressors keep working even if the first switch malfunctions. This means extra safety for air compressor users. And like all Danfoss products, the CS pressure switch is durable and easy to maintain – another plus for air compressor owners and operators.
