Danfoss brazed plate heat exchangers are the ideal choice for transferring heat from one liquid to another, quickly – the so called single phase heat transfer. Consisting of a series of thin corrugated metal plates that are brazed together, these large heat transfer surfaces ensure a minimum of heat loss, making them extremely efficient. Available in a wide range of sizes and capacities, they’re a cost-effective and perfect alternative to conventional heat exchangers.
In the Taiwanese manufacturer’s application, the heat transfer takes place between the quenching liquid and water. To find the ideal fit, Danfoss’ EnFusion™ Hex Calc software was used. The software selected a compact brazed plate heat exchanger that weighs 3.8 kilos less than the previous supplier’s product, but despite the smaller size, it has the same high efficiency and capacity.
