Pressure and Temperature Switches

Off-highway equipment calls for the most stringent requirements on pressure and temperature controls. Danfoss developed a series of MBC pressure and temperature On/Off switches that fully complement our product portfolio.
On/Off block controls can endure and work properly in the most demanding, severe environments. They are intended for alarm indication, shut down, control and diagnostics in many applications.
Our block pressure switches operate on three different types of technology, allowing more specific monitoring of pressure.

Bellows type of technology
  • Used for sensitive low range and differential
  • Covers ranges from -0.2 to 30 bars
Diaphragm type of technology
  • Used for pressure peaks and pulsation
  • Tolerates high over pressure
  • Suitable for high number of switching operations
  • Covers pressure ranges from 1 to 100 bars
Piston type of technology
  • Used for high pressure ranges
  • Covers pressure up to 400 bars
  • Permissible operating pressure up to 600 bars
  • Properly operates over 1 million switching cycles
Our block thermostats are temperature switches that are suitable for monitoring and alarm control.
A wide range of temperatures, varying from -10° to 200° C can be controlled. The sensor of MBC thermostats contains adsorption charge. Therefore its function is not affected whether the sensor is placed in warmer or colder place then reaming part of thermostatic element (bellow or capillary).
The block thermostats can be equipped with remote sensors and standard or armoured capillary tube (for additional protection of the tube) as well as with self-supporting rigid sensor. Different sizes of sensor pockets can be ordered as accessories specially designed for our comprehensive thermostats scope.

Both our block pressure and temperature controlled switches are part of the integrated block control program that includes also MBS sensors and MBV test valves.
