The largest heat pump retailer in Scandinavia chooses Danfoss

The largest heat pump retailer in Scandinavia chooses Danfoss

15 September 2011

For the third time within the last months Danfoss Sweden has signed an agreement with a major heat pump retailer.

But the latest sign off is special because it is with the largest heat pump retailer, Rotek, who will exclusively be selling heat pumps of the Danfoss brand, Thermia.
’Since 1987 we have been selling heat pumps of another brand and that has worked out fine. But we were convinced by Thermia because of their great product range and the organisation behind it. Together that forms the strongest offer we can give our customers. The market potential in the very interesting product range is in our opinion enormously and will give our customers the best possibilities of optimizing their energy efficiency,’ says Gunnar Tjernberg, CEO of Heatpumpcenter Rotek AB.

In 2006 Rotek put up the all time Swedish record with 998 sold heat pumps, a mark that the company think there are good chances for breaking in the coming years with Thermia products as their offering within heat pumps.

The outlook is continued growth

The promising development in the Swedish markets leads Danfoss Heat Pumps to confirm its strategy of aggressive growth. Since 2010 it has led to growth in both market share and profitable topline in many markets for the segment of ground source heat pumps as well as for the segment of air source heat pumps.

’Danfoss Heat Pumps are very pleased and proud to announce this deal – it is a major blueprint of our Thermia brand that such a experienced and quality focussed retailer like Rotek chooses us and our products on behalf of another brand, that they have been satisfied with. It confirms our trust in our technology and solutions and in the promising market potential, we see for Thermia and Danfoss Heat Pumps. This deal will without doubt lift our sales in the very competitive Swedish market substantially – and if we can succeed in Sweden, we have good chances for succeeding in any other market across the globe. There is more to come.’ says Carlo Lazzarini, Vice President, Danfoss Heat Pumps.
