Danfoss put hygiene standards at the forefront of the drive development process as the only cost-effective way to meet the tough hygiene regulations in F&B installations. The component designs are adapted to the manufacturing process so as to ensure easy cleaning and no cross-contamination between the drive components and the product flow.
EHEDG and IPA certified
VLT® FlexConcept® is currently the only solution available offering EHEDG certified components specifically designed for use in hygiene critical areas. The VLT® OneGearDrive® is IPA certified by the Frauenhofer Institute for use directly in clean rooms.
Cleaning material resistant
VLT FlexConcept components for installation on the production floor feature perfectly smooth surfaces, ensuring absolute cleanliness and no hiding place for germs, permit the free flow of cleaning liquids, the easy removal of residual products and the prevention of contaminant build-up. Motors and gears mate with a crevice-free fit and all components are resistant to all standard detergents and disinfectants to pH2..12.
No Fans
VLT OneGearDrive motors are designed without fans and gears are filled with food grade lubricants. Stainless steel shafts up to VA4 and AISI316 are optionally available and the shaft end is fitted with a cover.
