VLT® High-Power frequency converters are the new medicine in China

24 September 2009
An analysis of operations at Chinese pharmaceuticals company, Harbin Lanxing Group, revealed potential for energy saving – up to 30 percent - in its process equipment on a raw medicine product line.

The company therefore decided to have two high-voltage motors including oxidation fans and a glycol motor upgraded by using two high-power VLT® AutomationDrives.
The Harbin Lanxing Group is so satisfied with the result that it now wants to upgrade the company’s remaining six high-voltage motors with direct start-up.

High-voltage debugging is dangerous and any mistake can have catastrophic consequences
Therefor Danfoss Technology Centre in China was involved to secure compliance to the glycol motor and the oxidation fans.

The installation glycol motor and the oxidation fans was very successful and has established a solid foothold for the promotion of Danfoss Drives’ high-low-high scheme on the Chinese market.

For the customer, the Harbin Lanxing Group, it resulted in an annual energy saving of 30 percent and optimised operating status for the motors.

Tradition and innovation in the most modern beer brewery of Europe

The new Grolsch brewery just outside Enschede is a surprising combination of tradition and innovation. Here production managers are called “master brewer” and those talking about “factory” will be corrected immediately: we are here in a brewery! At the same time this brewery just besides highway A35 belongs to the most modern ones in Europe. Literally speaking all parts of production logistics, control technology and administration are connected in one big control network.
