VLT® FCD 302

VLT® FCD 302 Decentral Drive now available with pluggable Profinet

22 December 2011
The drive that was introduced at the 2011 Brau Beviale exhibition in a new 3 kW version has been upgraded for easier networking.

The latest upgrade enables customers to choose from a more complete fieldbus portfolio, which now features pluggable Profinet connectivity in addition to Ethernet/IP and Profinet.   Now it is easier than ever to install and connect the drives to the existing network. Where it previously necessary to enlist specialist help to open the drive and draw internal cables, Profinet connectivity is solved simply by plugging in the cables to the drive’s external connectors.

Install with ease

For owners this saves time in installation and reduces the risk of error. Due to the fact that the drive does not need to be opened, non technical staff can handle the task in only a short space of time.

The new 3kW drive shares the compact design and easy installation with the FCD 302 series up to 2.2 kW. For optimal installation the drive has retained its flat shape for easy attachment to standard conveyors. The only difference is that it is slightly longer.

Flexibility remains the same, as the FCD 302 supports standard asynchronous and PM motors for supreme control. Users are free to choose their own motor and manufacturer.
