Danfoss VLT drives optimised for marine applications full range.

Marine optimised VLT® drives in complete voltage range now available

23 May 2012
With the release of the VLT® AQUA FC202, HVAC FC 102 and AutomationDrive FC302 drives in the voltage range from 380-480/500 V. Now customers can source a complete range of marine drives from a single manufacturer.

The marine-optimised versions all type approved by eight class  authorities according to IACS E10: DNV (Det Norske Veritas), GL (Germanischer Lloyd), RINA (Registro Italiano Navale), ABS (American Bureau of Shipping), Lloyds Register of Shipping, BV (Bureau Veritas), CCS (China Classification Society), RMRS (Russian Maritime Register of Shipping).

Ruggedized for ultimate maritime protection
In order to reduce the potential negative effects of vibration, the drives have been ‘ruggedized’. This means that critical components on the PCB have increased protection that significantly reduces the risk of malfunction while at sea.

The printed circuit boards in the drives are all coated in accordance with IEC60721-3-3 class C3C, providing additional protection against moisture and dust.
