The technology and concepts underlying VLT® Shop also bring a range of internal improvements – things that make it easy for us to do business!
We’ve eliminated the need for redun¬dant – and often dirty – copies of information. The data in the back-end ERP system are the basis for configuration and provide the descriptive detail for catalogues and web pages. Processes have been implemented to constantly manage and improve the quality of that data.
Supports automatic material creation
The system supports automatic material creation, allowing you to order that very special configuration that exactly matches your requirements. Using the underlying variant data and configuration rules, the system assembles the Material Master in the back-end and generates the appropriate Material Number for order processing. By applying variant pricing, the net customer price is calculated and classification ensures that the correct documentation and spare parts are applied – even though we have never seen this product before!
The VLT® Shop also provides support for easy genera¬tion of country-, customer- or applica¬tion-specific catalogues together with update and export functionality to allow easy publication and re-use. Talk to your local sales contact for further details.
