Danfoss harmonics mitigation solutions

All Danfoss VLT drives come with built-in DC-coils* to reduce the harmonics interference and in most cases this is sufficient to avoid voltage pollution.

In some cases additional harmonic suppression might be required due to grid conditions or when multiple drives are installed.

For that purpose Danfoss offers a wide range of individual mitigation solutions.

VLT Low Harmonic Drive

The VLT Low Harmonic Drive is a complete VLT frequency drive built on the power and control platform of the new generation VLT drives.
The difference is that the VLT Low Harmonic Drive eliminates the harmonic disturbances on the supply grid by actively imposing currents into the grid.

VLT Advanced Active Filter

The Danfoss VLT Advanced Active Filter AAF 005 compensates harmonics for individual VLT frequency drives. 
The AAF 005 can also be installed as a compact stand-alone solution at a common point of coupling, compensating harmonics for several loads simultaneously.

VLT Harmonic Filter

The Danfoss VLT Harmonic Filter AHF 005 and AHF 010 are advanced harmonic filters not to be compared with traditional harmonic trap filters.
They have been specially designed to match the Danfoss frequency converters.
