Fast and flexible, the EtherCAT option (MCA 124) gives the customer access to control the drive in the same manner as in CANopen. The EtherCAT option supports both SDO and PDO communication. This allows the user to migrate from CAN-based technology to Ethernet with a minimum change of the PLC program.
For interoperability the option has implemented the DS402 AC drive profile. The result is standardised handling, interoperability and low engineering cost.
