Maneurop® Compressors: Upgrade of the Existing Ranges for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

Danfoss is pleased to announce the upgrade of our two ranges of reciprocating compressors, the MT/MTZ 2 cylinders and the NTZ models. The update is implemented to ensure a better fit to customer expectations.
MT/MTZ 2 Cylinder

From April 2012, the standard 2 cylinder-range is upgraded to the level of the “high efficiency” range.

Impacts on applications and for customers are all positive with:
  • An average compressor efficiency increased by 10% for the standard models
  • No system or application test required
  • Unchanged code numbers for ordering.

Nevertheless, customers should note a change in electrical characteristics and a change in generation index for upgraded models; consequently, customer certification files might need to be updated. Please contact Danfoss for more information.

The MT/MTZ ranges are running with R22 / R134a-R404A-R507C-R407C refrigerants for air conditioning and MBP refrigeration respectively.

NTZ048 & NTZ068

As a new step in the sound level performance of the existing range, the one cylinder reciprocating NTZ models for low back pressure refrigeration has been optimized.
The noise level is decreased by 2 and 4.5 dB(A) without changing the compressors’ performances or any other characteristics. Consequently, the application qualification remains unchanged.
