Danfoss Negative List

Suppliers and subcontractors to Danfoss are required to comply with Danfoss' Negative List and shall on request be able to document the type and amount of any hazardous substances present in materials, subassemblies or components and used in processes.

Suppliers and subcontractors must not supply products, components or materials containing banned substances from the Negative List to Danfoss.

Requirements for suppliers, contractors and tenants
Suppliers and subcontractors must not use any chemicals listed on the Negative List in processes manufacturing parts for Danfoss unless the chemicals are used in accordance with local legislation and when it has been ensured that the suppliers’ employees are properly protected against any harmful effects of the chemicals.

Contractors, tenants or their suppliers working on Danfoss’ owned property must not bring substances listed on the Negative List onto Danfoss premises.

If new substances are put on the Negative List, all suppliers and subcontractors must ensure that the new substance is removed from products delivered to Danfoss within a time period not exceeding one year.   

Compliance with the REACH regulation
Suppliers must declare if the delivered products and materials contain any substances from the Candidate List.

Inquiries and information from suppliers must be directed to the Danfoss procurement department buying your products or substances.

All suppliers, subcontractors, contractors and tenants must sign up to an update mail service offered by Danfoss and accessible through the below link “Subscribe to Danfoss Negative List updates”.

Recent updates to the Negative List
The Danfoss Negative List has been updated with 54 new substances that were added to the REACH Candidate List in December 2012.

The Candidate List substances are now firstly sorted by “date of inclusion” and secondly by the substance name.

Please also notice that “Occurence” is added to each of the Candidate List substances helping you with the assessment of possible presence in your products and processes.
