Danfoss AquaZ A/S

Danfoss AquaZ develops a cost-effective membrane technology, which will increase the efficiency of sea water desalination plants by 5-10 times. The AquaZ technology is a quantum leap in water purification! Based on this is the unique and robust Danfoss AquaZ membrane concept with its highly effective layer of Aquaporins incorporated in a multitude of polymer spheres called “Vesicles”.
The Aquaporin protein regulates the influx and efflux of water molecules from live cells and has been ”programmed” by nature to let only water that is 100% clean in and out of the cells. This efficient “sluice mechanism” is what Danfoss AquaZ encapsulates and utilizes in membranes for water purification.
Danfoss AquaZ is deeply focused on developing membranes, which can be produced using industrialized processes and can withstand harsh working environments.
