Danfoss Motion Controls Division
Danfoss Motion Controls Division includes four business units – Danfoss Drives, Danfoss Gearmotors, Danfoss Silicon Power and Danfoss Solar Inverters – with production facilities in China, Denmark, Germany, Slovakia and the United States. The business units act independently and have a global network of sales offices able to provide innovative products and services to customers. 

Danfoss Drives
Danfoss Drives produces and markets frequency converters for the speed control of motors and is a global business with sales and service activities throughout the world via the Danfoss sales companies and with more than 30 years of experience within the frequency converter business. It has production facilities in Denmark, the United States and China. Danfoss Drives has a leading global position in the food, beverage, HVAC and water industries and has a number of activities within the chemical, textile, material handling and mining industries in selected markets.

Danfoss Gearmotors
Danfoss Gearmotors supplies gear motors for industrial applications and has a strong position within the automotive, material handling and steel industries. Danfoss Gearmotors’ sales are concentrated in Europe via the Danfoss sales companies. The business unit has production facilities in Germany and in Slovakia. Gear motor assembly activities take place in several countries in Europe and North America.

Danfoss Silicon Power
Danfoss Silicon Power headquartered in Schleswig, Germany, develops and produces electronic power modules for many applications, such as frequency converters, power supplies and electronic vehicles. The business unit has its core competencies within lead-free soldering of large surfaces and unique capabilities within thermal design.

Danfoss Solar Inverters
Danfoss Solar Inverters (PowerLynx A/S) was acquired by the Danfoss Group in 2007. The business unit, with headquarters in Sønderborg, Denmark, develops, designs and sells advanced grid-connected inverters to customers worldwide. The unique selection of products tailored to solar energy-applications features grid-connected indoor and outdoor inverters, communication systems, and supporting software solutions offering complete power control.
