0.8 Million Danish Kroner Donated in October
 
At its meeting in early October the foundation donated 0.8 mill. DKK to charitable purposes, mainly in the vicinity of Danfoss companies, but also various national projects received a donation.

0.5 mill. DKK went to projects in the vicinity of Danfoss. Here are some examples:

The Mads Clausen Institute, University of Southern Denmark, Soenderborg - solar cell test facility
Kegnaes Free School - physics class room
Soenderborg Sports Club for the Disabled - sports equipment
NytNetvaerk Soenderborg - mentoring scheme for non-ethnic Danes
Ensted Village Hall - new windows
Graasten Riding Club of 2004 - new surface for indoor riding arena
Kolding Sports Club - gymnastics equipment
Varnaes-Bovrup Sports Club - furniture for clubhouse
E'Kleinbahn - restauration of train wagons
Hinnerup Marching Band - instrument stands
Ulkeboel Choir - concert at the knights' hall at Soenderborg Castle

The foundation has donated a total of 7.6 mill. DKK so far this year. The number of recipients total 313, and amounts donated range from 2,000 DKK to 1,500,000 DKK.

The next board meeting will be held on 8 December. Applications to be considered at this meeting must be received by the foundation no later than the end of week 47.

1.6 Million Danish Kroner for Charitable Purposes in August

At its first meeting following the summer vacation, the foundation donated 1.6 mill. DKK to various purposes in Denmark and abroad.

The donations were distributed among the donation categories as follows: 

331,500 DKK - Research and education 
511,500 DKK - Hospitals, institutions and health 
285,000 DKK - Leisure and sport 
136,000 DKK - Art and culture
339,683 DKK - Abroad 

The largest donations were given to educational and health projects. Furthermore, the foundation decided to donate 200,000 DKK to a nationwide collection for the victims of the drought in Eastern Africa.

The next board meeting will be held on 4 October. Applications to be considered at this meeting must be received by the foundation no later than the end of week 38.
