Purpose

The purpose of the foundation, according to its articles, is to provide financial support for:
  • the education and further education of persons who have or have had direct or indirect relationships with companies within the Danfoss Group in Denmark or other countries
  • students enrolled at the Mads Clausen Institute at the University of Southern Denmark
  • apprentices or trainee apprentices who, after completing their education either at Danfoss A/S or at both a technical college or similar and Danfoss, have enrolled for further education at an institution of higher technical education

Amplification of the purpose clause

The education and further education of persons who have or have had direct or indirect relationships with companies within the Danfoss Group in Denmark or other countries
To be considered for a scholarship, one of the student's parents must have been employed by Danfoss for a considerable period within quite recent times.
Alternatively, applicants themselves must have been employed by Danfoss, as a minimum for three periods of totally nine weeks, e.g. vacation jobs.

The education in question shall be a higher education in which the theoretical part consists of at least three years of study, typically corresponding to a bachelor's degree. Financial support will only be given to any practical training periods if these are unpaid.

A scholarship typically amounts to DKK 5,000-6,000 / EUR 700-800.

Students enrolled at the Mads Clausen Institute at the University of Southern Denmark
Scholarships are awarded to foreign students.

Scholarships of DKK 310,000 are awarded for two-year courses and consist of study fees and living expenses. DKK 50,000 is being disbursed to the student's account in each of the years of study.

A maximum of two scholarships are awarded annually.

Scholarship recipients are nominated by the institute. - Thus, the scholarship cannot be applied for.

Apprentices or trainee apprentices who, after completing their education either at Danfoss A/S or at both a technical college or similar and Danfoss, have enrolled for further education at an institution of higher technical education
Scholarships are awarded to apprentices within the Danfoss Group or Sauer-Danfoss, who, on completing their education, decide to enrol for further education at an institution of higher technical education, e.g. a degree in engineering, and who have completed their apprenticeship at Danfoss with particular distinction.

Scholarships amount to DKK 25,000 per year of study and have a maximum limit of DKK 125,000.

Scholarship recipients are nominated by Danfoss. - Thus, the scholarship cannot be applied for.
