Scholarship Awarded to former Danfoss Apprentice
Soren K. Sorensen comes from Northern Jutland. He joined Sauer-Danfoss in November 2002 as an apprentice to become an electronics technician. He finished his education in 2005 and was then employed at Sauer-Danfoss' quality laboratory, where he is testing and developing new products. Soren is now studying for at the University of Southern Denmark in Sonderborg to become a mechatronics engineer. The studies last three and a half years. Soren received a scholarship of totally 75,000 DKK.
Latest Scholarships
The Danfoss Foundation for Education has awarded 17 scholarships at its recent board meeting in July. 9 of these were given for studies abroad. The scholarships amounted to a total of 99,000 DKK.
Most scholarships were in the amount of 5-6,000 DKK and were given to students of e.g. natural sciences, media science, architecture, law and various healthcare studies. Two Ph.d. students received scholarships of 10,000 DKK.
The Board of Directors will convene again in early October 2009. Applications to be considered at this meeting must be sent to the secretariat for receipt by the end of week 39.
