Research and education
Within research, support is typically given to projects concerned with the natural sciences and technology.
Within education, the Foundation supports, among others, various projects designed to stimulate the interest of children and young people in science and technology.
In connection with the foundation's 50th anniversary two large donations were given to educational projects.
EUC Syd, a technical highschool in Sonderborg, received DKK 1 million for the establishment of an International Baccalaureate. In future, it will thus be possible to get an international education in Sonderborg from preschool to university.
The Mads Clausen Institute at the University of Southern Denmark in Sonderborg also received DKK 1 million. The donation was for equipment for education and research within mechatronics.
