Hospitals, institutions and health
In this category, the Foundation supports a wide range of relief organisations, institutions for the disabled, patient associations and care centres for children and the elderly. In addition, several local hospitals receive support for the purchase of diagnostic and treatment equipment.
The year's largest donation, DKK 1 million was given to King Christian X's Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases in Graasten to fund the acquisition of digital X-ray equipment. The hospital is owned and run by the Danish Rheumatism Association and has for more than 50 years treated patients with muscular and skeletal disorders. The new digital X-ray equipment will be of great benefit to patients as it will enhance examination efficiency and help to optimise diagnosis and subsequent treatment.
