Abroad

In 2010, the Foundation donated DKK 2 million to projects in the vicinity of Danfoss companies outside Denmark.

Donations were mainly given to social and cultural projects. A number of relief aid organisations received donations of DKK 100,000-200,000 for relief work following natural disasters in Haiti, New Zealand and other countries.

In connection with the Foundation's 50th anniversary two donations of DKK 500,000 each were made. One was for a center in Slovenia providing psychosocial treatments for children. The donation is used for riding therapy and facilities in connection herewith. The other one was for a school for poor children in Mexico and is used for a roof covering a sports arena.

Besides funding for specific projects abroad, the Foundation also donates substantial amounts each year to various humanitarian organisations' relief programmes around the world. In 2010, such donations amounted to DKK 171,000.
