Society Relations

Danfoss wishes to contribute actively to the development of the societies where Danfoss has companies. By showing respect for the local culture and laws, and by acting according to Danfoss’ values Danfoss acts as a participant in the community.

Danfoss is often visible in the local community and plays an important role for the people who work and live there. Consequently, showing commitment in the local community and having a dialogue with the external world is important to Danfoss.
When Danfoss acquires new companies, for example, a number of elements are changed and adapted to Danfoss’ standards regarding environmental issues and social responsibility, among others. The work environment is one of the areas where Danfoss often makes a noticeable difference.

From time to time, Danfoss is forced to relocate the production and dismiss employees. In such cases major efforts are made to find other employment for the employees, in Danfoss or at another local company.

Danfoss is registered with lobby registers in both the EU and USA, continuing to build-up contacts to political decisionmakers in the EU institutions and the American Congress, to promote energy and environmental policies.

Corporate Citizenship

Danfoss’ overall goal within Corporate Citizenship is "keeping our own house in order".
This applies to employees, so that they have an attractive workplace and a healthy working environment. It applies to the environment, where Danfoss products contribute to energy savings, and where the environmental impact of their production is constantly being reduced.
And it applies, in a broad sense, to social and ethical responsibility.
Efforts are continually being intensified, because when employee satisfaction is high, consumption of resources is as low as possible, and the company’s ethics and reputation are good, the result is a positive effect on the accounting bottom line.
