Labour Practices

Good working conditions, a good working environment and a high safety level are the prerequisites of running a sound and efficient business. The working environment and safety are integral parts of all of Danfoss’ activities – this applies whether the company is visiting customers, designing and manufacturing products or running and maintaining equipment and buildings.
Danfoss aims for every employee to work in a healthy and safe working environment and the Group commits many resources to making machines and equipment as safe as possible. Around one third of Danfoss’ plants worldwide are certified according to the working environment standard OHSAS 18001, which ensures systematised efforts to obtain a healthy and safe working environment.

Good working conditions also cover the development of employees and managers. Employee development is about giving the employees or the team the necessary competencies. Danfoss’ ambitious targets require skilled leadership and managers who develop themselves and their organisation on an ongoing basis. Consequently, considerable resources are spent on developing the leadership competencies which support the Group’s strategy.
